like the plague. Got a ticket last weekend in this shithole for 60 in a 45, and found out it's $12 per mile over...$180 ticket! This was 60 in a 4-lane, divided-highway, straight-line 45. Officer Dropout was hiding 10 yards away from where the speed limit drops, looking for out-of-town cars. The worst part was my POS radar detector (BEL Express 916) didn't make a sound, even when I could see him aiming the radar gun 25 yards away.

Oh well, at least I get to come back and live in Scottsdale and that piece-of-crap redneck pig has to return to his 400-lb sister-wife in his trailer every night. Justice, of a sort...

Yeah, I assume you were on that stretch between I-10 and Huachuca City. It's a major speed trap.

You could go to traffic school and get the ticket cleared although 15 over is pretty minor and you might want to save school for a better one.

I used to live in Tucson and never had much reason to go to HC or Sierra Vista except very infrequently.

What were you doing down there?

Yep, that's exactly where I was. We were visiting my brother in Bisbee and were on the way to Coronado National Monument (worth going to, for the rally-style dirt road drive to the top ). After I got home, I went to speedtrap.org to register the fucker and, of course, it was already there. I just called and registered for traffic school, which is another racket because the in AZ the court decides how much traffic school costs. Huchuca Fucking City not only has the most expensive speeding tickets in the state, they've also got the most expensive traffic school (I can take the school in Phoenix, but I still pay the price set by HC).
