I was riding around going the speed limit to work and I look in my rear view and see this lowered bmw gaining on me. He definitely did not want to just change lanes. He pulls up to me in the other lane and it started at 55 mph. I kept up with him until 70 mph and I let off fearing cops were around. He keeps going and nearly wrecks into an old early 90s mustang. I punched it to make him look stupid for racing and then nearly wrecking. I went up to 85mph and rode his ass until he found an open lane and took off in a lot of traffic. I didn't chase after him because I wanted to prove I wasn't an ass in traffic like a bmw driver.

 

he was probaly 17 like me. doubt he was an expierienced driver. it was probaly his parents car.

since your worried of how you look to other driver's, it's good that you chickened out. that 740 would've raped you. wouldn't want to be embarassed now.

 

well seeing that this guy cant drive, who knows. but give it to a good driver it would smoke the CL.

 

everywhere iv heard the cls is faster than the 740...
i raced a new 745iL from stop one night and beat him.
he was in a lane that merged into mine in like 1/4 mile and he kept inching up at the light so that he can cut infront of me when the light turned green. So i was like w/e lets see wut happens. Light turns green and we are both even until like 30-40 then i pulled and by like 80-90 i had 1-2 cars on him. then he got pissed and went thru the other red light the was ahead of us lol.

i know that this was from a stop and the bmw is heavy as shit so maby on the highway we would stay next to eachother but i never heard of a 740 beating a cl-s.

 

As far as I know the 740's only come in automatic...so "driving" is about as hard as putting your foot down.

 

Interesting.....

Just tonight i raced a 04-05 7series BMW all the way 130mph tonight.

We where side by side 90, 100 but after that you know when feeling even though your side by side but your car is starting to accelerate away faster then his, thats where i was, but we ran out of road as there was 2 large S curves ahead.

So rather take on 2 S curves @ 130mph with a 7 Series BMW 2 feet away from me, i slowed down, he wented ahead and but on his emergency lights, i guess thanking me ...who knows... but i know the CLS gives a 7series a run for its money, based on 2 races over the last month with them

 

the "emergency lights" or hazards means "haha you lost and your slow" in most race situations in NY.
