ATTN owners of Comptech headers
I was experiencing a loss of power and had the shop retorque my headers. I
have to shift at 6500 rpms once again or I'll bounce off of the rev limiter.
Scott, bring on the NOS if you make it down to SD this weekend. It's supposed
to rain but who knows...
Also, I had my sways installed on thursday. SWEEEETTT!!!

Mike,
So you are saying that with the headers, the transmission does not shift at the top end in time and the rev limiter kicks in? This forces you to race in SS mode doesn't it?

I typically don't shift until 6900-7000 and I never hit the limiter now that I'm used to it.
You almost always need to have your bolts tightened a week or two after putting on headers. I'm not surprised to hear that you had an exhaust leak.

That's always been the problem with most headers, they leak. Good quality ones like Comptech should not. If all ya need is a re-torque thats expected. Cheap headers will leak when they are tight, blow gaskets, rust and bend.
