Attn: Dallas/Fort Worth Owners

Have any of you guys or gals heard of a Honda/Acura specialty shop called "Better By Borden"? Last I heard they were located off of I-35 and Walnut Hill, but I can't seem to get a hold of them by phone. The owner, Chris Borden, is said to be one of the best Honda/Acura mechanics in this area!

Please let me know if you can get a hold of them by phone at (972)247-3535. I may drive by there during lunch tomorrow (if this damn weather is any better).

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks, but I already had that info. I've tried calling them everyday since last Tuesday with no luck. The phone line either messes up or rings forever. I'm wondering if they've moved or gone out of business.

Hey all,

I just ordered my Comptech springs today. Currently, I am planning to have them installed at Jotech for $200 (not including the alignment).

I will let you all know how my experience with them was.

That's a pretty decent price!

Please let us know how they do...I am very interested. Thanks!

BTW, no reply from the other place?

I have been unsuccessful in contacting Better By Borden. I have no clue what's up with that.

$80 Wow that is great! I thought that the $200 from Jotech was good. I got quoted from David McDavid (Plano) of around $400 for the install and alignment.

So can you hook us up with the owner and get us the same deal? That would be awesome, and I would probably get my springs sooner!

Thanks!

Damn!!!

Who do I need to talk to? What's their phone#? Where are they located?

Shit, I've been waiting and waiting for someone in the DFW area to post something other than a dealership and Jotech. I just gave up today and now this post came.

No problem, I won't be getting the springs until Tuesday or so. I'd like to get them on by mid-month if possible.

Let me know!

Hey ktown, for $80, I may be swayed and join in for a volume discount. How much are the
springs themselves?

My springs were $299 plus $21 for shipping.

I'm not to sure this $80 labor charge is legit. I figure a mechanic has to get at least $40/hr for the trouble, and it's at least a 2 hour job.

I think I'm still gonna have Jotech do it because they have a great rep in the Metroplex!
