ATLP Exhaust...revisiting CL again

Hey there, our latest run of 99-03 TL systems is about to be completed this week.

ANYONE think I should adapt this kit to the CL? We can do a GB for it. $999 shipped.

It'll be nice when Obama gets out of office and people have jobs to spend money on thousand dollar exhaust systems, just saying.

Is that for a full exhaust or an axle back? If its the latter, thats a lot of $$$.

What size is the piping?

Full 2.5" cat-back, with dual mufflers.

eneffex, you know this sort of post really belittles things a bit, don't you think? You can want a Tanabe more but this isn't a Tanabe post. Its an ATLP one, which my pretty much all 3g and 4g TL members is in an entirely different league.

$1000 isnt bad for a cat back, assuming the SS quality and fitment is top notch.

What tips do you plan on using for them though?

ATLP quality is top notch everything. More than likely rivals comptech.

Here is the tip although we have now moved to smooth inside tips rather than the perforated ones.

So Ive heard, but I have no first hand experience with them.

Its a nice looking setup, but Im curious what a quad tip setup would look like on the CL.

my comment is relevant, as I'm stating an opinion about an exhaust. and u basically shitted on cl owners saying 3g and 4g tl owners are in a different league, unless I'm misundeestanding. dont mean to thread jack, as u were.

Hes not saying 3g and 4g owners are in a different league, but that the ATLP exhaust is in a different league compared to Tanabe - which I agree with.

Just throwing this out there, but is a b-pipe only an option to buy. I know a lot of member have axlebacks already and are looking for a quality b-pipe with a nice Y split.

The comptech axlebacks, tanabe etc are 2" piping after the split, whereas the ATLP is 2.25". Not sure you would want that setup unless your mufflers piping is 2.25" also.

It will be better when politicians in general stop being so obsessed with stealing from their own country and only looking at the short term goal, same with the CEO's who take all the money and fuck up all these companies because they outsource to china or other countries because they only look at short term.

The president has "some" power but he is not all powerful, I blame rich people.

I swore off aftermarket exhausts after going through five of on my now gone Integra, just trying to get a sound I could live with...

But I met the fella w/ the RJ sponsored gray TL while filling gas. He was running the ATLP. Fitment looked good.
I asked the guy to punch it for me when he left and the sound was nice - pretty deep, not too loud and definitely not raspy. I wouldn't get it primarily for the HP increase, but maybe for the exhaust note.

If I still had my CL I would buy this. Granted I remember my CL being crazy loud with full custom exhaust. Went from straight pipes to mag quad muffs and the sob was still loud. I'm loving the sound of the setup phee.

The thing is it is not going to bolt up to OEM mufflers, or any other aftermarket mufflers. We cn make just B-pipes but there is going to be some fab needed no matter what.

High ranking politicians and corporate executives are on the same side. It isn't these guys versus those guys...it is all of US versus all of THEM.

It does look nice, but ATLP phased them out a while back. I cannot say why really. I don't see why we could not bring it back if people wanted it.

Well, we are getting the 2g TL systems tomorrow. I am expecting to have a left over one. Then all I need is a test CL to bring in and have the kit fitted to, post pics, etc. If you guys like it then we can do the GB.

thats where the problem is. how long has it been since youve been waiting for a test cl to do the roof spoiler? its going to be the same issue for the exhaust.

I don't think so. The exhaust process, believe it or not is a lot faster and only takes few hours. The spoiler thing required people to leave their car with me for a week, give or take.

Well, Being that the 8th gen thing came up before I took over ATLP, and there was a relatively low amount of interest in the system (I don't visit 8th gen forums much....or these forums much to be honest) we just kinda put it on a 'side' burner. I believe there are people that want this system for sure. But the squeaky wheels, and the wheels in front of me, get the grease.

x2 I like perforated one too. I'm interested in this ATLP catback. If we can get GB... reminds me of roof spoiler..

I already addressed how this is different than the roof spoiler thing. It should not be an issue. The problem with the roof spoiler was no access to a car that we could keep for a week. This time we rely on people to make deposits. If this does not go through, it will be for different reasons than for roof spoiler.
