ARRRGHHHHH!!! body shop F**ked up my car...HELP!!!!!
so, i get my painted bumper back from the shop yesterday...and it fuking came back with fine scratches and swirls ALL OVER...this was shocking for a all brand new paint coat and the entire thing.....I call the guy, and he told me that they needed to buff it out and polish it....FINE....i go back this morning, and let them do it....after waiting for like 2 hours for them to buff a bumper, i go home and place a 500watt halo lamp against the car to inspect the work....As GOD as witness, the damn finish was even WORSE...this time, instead of the fine surface scratches, i see patches and pacthes of haziness and cloudy white spots...the car is BLK BTW, so then, i drive back to the shop and complain again...
here is what he said.."the chemicals from the paint are evaporating, thats y u get those patches. the paint inside is still wet, and we cannot buff the car anymore because it will burn the paint. wait 30 days, and bring it back."
Considering what happened after the first buff, i dont think i wanna go back after 30 days....I then took the car to another shop, and they busted out their rotary buffer to show me what it should look like....he took an area that was cloudy, and buffed it...and damn was it shiny as hell!!! He wouldnt do the entire bumper because he was afraid to damage the paint.....
What should i DO??? please help....should i go to a detailing shop and just let them do the entire car??? As far as this shop is concerned, i dont even want them to fix it.....theyll fuk it up even worse,...
IS what they say about paint not being dried true?? I mean, they buffed it the first time, how hard is it to go over a 2nd time??
thanks guys...i just needed to vent...BTW, the name of the shop is TUSTIN BODY WORKS in CA....NEVER EVER NEVER go there even if the life of ur CLS depended on it!!!!

there is nothing wrong, but because the paint takes a month or two to cure, there might be a slight haze that occurs, and it might not be as shiny as glossy. so after the paint has time to harden, they will buff it out the final time, just like how your body shop will do it again.

If you have more problems with those, Ive got a auto body in Pasedena that is awesome, I just had both bumpers and one fender redone, and my car is also black.

Isn't the painted paint supposed to be "baked" in an high temp oven type of thing? Any single part I had done was. Also they should have clear coated it, so any of the defects should be either in the paint, which the clear is covering, so any amount of buffering will not work, or the defect is in the clear, & they can strip it, & re-do.

Dont forget, ZAINO is a POLYMER, not a WAX so the rules might be different on how long you have to wait after body work.

I have a friend that paints motorcycles, he has to wait like a month before really buffing out the car. He does do wet sanding and compounding which does it very shinny looking. So it should be shinny, but u gotta wait a while for the paint to fully harden to buff.
