Anything I can do?

My a/c would blow cold some of the time and then stop from what was presumed to be pressure build up.

So... I took my car in to get the expansion valve replaced. They said it would take two and a half hours. I dropped it off Wednesday around 10am. I finally got the car back at 3:30 on Monday. They said i needed to take it to Acura to have the computer reset.

So... I took it to Acura and they said there was no resetting required and that the computer was not involved in the a/c. Also, if there was indeed something needing to be done on the computer, the maintenance light would have come on.

Now... when the a/c is completely off, if i put my hand up to the vent it feels cold, but it i turn on the system in any capacity (including just the fan with a/c set to off) it only blows warm air... all the time.

So almost 400 dollars later, I'm stuck with a system that works less than when I brought it in. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Sounds like bad expansion valve. happened to my honda civic, I changed TXV and did a recharge, everything is fine now.

Sounds like you should try and get your money back from whoever you took it to the first time and then let Acura work on it.

Sounds more like you need to find out what the problem was in the 1st place. It could be anything.

But disconnect your battery for 5 minutes. That will reset the ECU.
Make sure you have your radio code 1st.

Thanks. I'll try that while I'm putting my new wheels on today. Got both radio and nav codes handy. :-)
