Just wondering how fast an S4 with the ecu chip is...

Anyone know some stats?

My friend with the APR chip, achieved a 14.1 with a 3000rpm dump on stock Pirellis at 78 degree weather with humidity of 60%.

 

A chipped S4 (Manual) = Porsche 996 on straight road.

 

170 mph at least, I was actually getting an S4 then decided to get the type S and save 10k

 

Very FAST

I drove one, it very very quick, i would say 0-60 at about 5.3 maybe quicker.

 

I think more like 320 HP is reasonable. Well driven they can run very low 13's at 105+.

 

my next ride is a new S4, garenteeeeed.

Cant beat AWD.

 

A guy here in D/FW with a Stage 2 S4 (APR chip, exhaust) hit 12.9 with 100 octane.

 

apr chip:

306 hp,346ft/lbs of torque


You can peg the spedo at 160mph.

To the wheels? Or the crank? 320 would only be 60-70 over stock...

Actually with the full stage 2 kit torque is near 375 and hp is higher than 306.

There is a K04 turbo upgrade which also bumps the power numbers up a bit.

 

my c32 knows how fast those chipped s4's can be...its been messed up by a few...you know those decked out mofo's with the front-mounted intercooler...you know something's up

 

i saw an A6 absolutely slaughter an S4 at Englishtown last Nov!!...dunno what mods it had tho

 

You can get the s4 up to 570 hp 6580 r/min
Max. torque 521 lb-ft 1660 r/min. But that's probably with 10k in upgrades.

it must be the torque and awd then... ohh and the 6 speed...

306 to the crank isnt much more than we should be getting with i/h/e....

Depends on how much it ups the boost, duh.

 

You mean a slk32? In stock form, depends on how many mods are in the s4. The slk32 a tick slower than the new M3, but probably far more consistent....and as it is also using FI...it can probably benefit from a couple of mods too...namely an exhaust and new downpipe.

I think I definitely will get one at the end of this year.

276hp stock, and you know there is going to be a HUGE aftermarket parts business on that car!


A chipped S4 isn't that reliable, you can easily fry a turbo.

When will the Lancer be available in the states?

That galant doesnt look bad either.. has basically the same power as the Lancer...

 

Spring '03. It will not be the same one that is available to the overseas market because of emissions issues. It'll be interesting to see how much mitsu detunes the motor.

 

The Galant is actually different. When they first had the vr4 in the states....it was the 4 cylinder turbo a la Eclipse with 4 doors....after the re-design...they installed the 3.0L V6 TT from the 3000GT into the Galant. Remember Mitch....everything in Japan is 280 according to the "gentleman's agreement"...tha's why you have 280 hp Zs and Supras...when over here they are advertised at 300 and 320...
