Anyone know a good solvent to remove tint adhesive?
I just removed the tint from my girfirends car because she's gonna get the car inspected. The problem is the tint left a sticky adhesive on the glass. Any good glass cleaners or adhesive removers I can purchase from the store?

Ammonia! Anything with Ammonia. Just spray it on a lift a corner and keep spraying. It will loosen quickly. That's why they tell you not to clean tinting with Windex.

If you ever want a super safe solvent that will remove adhesives, gum, tar, etc without any toxic effects, try "De-Solv-It"-- the stuff removes really nasty stuff, but is safe enough to wash gum out of a child's hair! I use it to pull up some nasty tape adhesive and it works great!
"An industrial formula, multi-purpose stain remover that combines special citrus and petroleum solvents. De-Solv-lt is completely clear, safe and non-toxic. Ideal as a multi-purpose spotter, it is especially good on chewing gum, tar, adhesives, oil, crayon, waxes, blood, grease, cutback, cosmetics, duplicator ink, shoe polish, etc. May be used on carpet, fabric, wallpaper, painted surfaces, ceramic tile, wood, metal, aluminum, Plexiglas and most plastics."
I got it at the local hardware store.
