I think that there have been examples (extremely rare - 1 or 2 at most) of people getting their CL's "lemon lawed"... I remember reading about this years ago here.. Someone returned their CL and upgraded to another acura for not much money... Don't remember the details tho'.

Searching for lemon here might turn up some info....

Don't think for a minute that Acura is going to take your car in trade now and give you a fantastic deal on a new car

Lemon law would not apply to any CL now. It way past the allowable years & mileage.

That's what I would think.

I don't see Acura doing that.

Not to change the direction of the thread, but I was thinking the same thing. I can't imagine having a $30k luxury sport coupe at 18. I mean, I would've loved to have one when I was 18, but then again, they didn't make CLs when I was 18 WAY back in 1995. I guess my 1972 Skylark filled the void well enough.

I got a letter from my dealer saying that they wanted to buy back my car because they were looking for 2003 CLs in good condition and they would supposedly give me above market value. In my opinion, it was just a way to get me to come down so they could hassle me into trading my car in for a new one.

Funny, a week or so after I bought my CL the Acura dealership I bought it from called and left a message on my cell about the same thing, them looking to buy good condition CL-S's because of a "demand" for them. Weird.

I'm betting they just want to lure you in for an "appraisal", give you a really shitty price and then talk to you about financing a new RSX or TL.

EXACTLY. it's a scam just to get you into the dealership. then the sharks try to get you. yeah, they'll buy it back...for a few thousand dollars.

i would never sell my car to a stealership. i'd rather sell it privately and get more for it.

I get that one every year

My brother got one for his Toyota Tacoma... he was telling me about the details, and I said "and they will give you 10% over KBB value, right" ??

He replied, "How did you know ?"...

I told him that my dealer sends me the same type of form letter every year... 'cept one year, that said I owned a TL

I get one of these letters every 6 months. IMO it is a sales ploy to get me in the dealership to talk me into a car i dont need/want.
