Is anyone expecting their NAV to go buggy soon ???
Remember early last year when they removed the “accuracy scrambling” signal from the location satellites?
Our NAV along with the other manufactures got much more accurate then they previously were.
They said that if a situation comes up that concerns the safety of the USA it could be turned ON/OFF as required.
With the state of the situation right now, I imagine this might happen....no ???

Based upon this portion of the presidents statement when Selective Availability was set to zero I dont believe we will see a change in signal quality.
GPS is used in soo many commercial/emergency applications that I think a degraded signal would have far greater impact then fucking up Ms. Navi.
But I guess well see...
The decision to discontinue SA is coupled with our continuing efforts to upgrade the military utility of our systems that use GPS, and is supported by threat assessments which conclude that setting SA to zero at this time would have minimal impact on national security. Additionally, we have demonstrated the capability to selectively deny GPS signals on a regional basis when our national security is threatened. This regional approach to denying navigation services is consistent with the 1996 plan to discontinue the degradation of civil and commercial GPS service globally through the SA technique.
But I guess well see...
