I miss my 1985 Subaru Brat...T-Tops, 4 spd. manual. I put 100K on that car and only bought exhausts and a clutch cable. I'd love to have it back for a beater now.

I miss all my shitboxes. I miss the 70's pinto station wagons (I had 4), 77 Cutlass supreme (w/ 310hp rocket motor), my ford courier pickup (before they made the ranger), and a couple of big american v8 4 door sedans that I bought off of the local funeral home (olds delta 88 w/ 8track player). Oh, yeah and that $50 1970 Amc Javelin was ok even tho it was a rust bucket.
I love driving crap I used to have a bumper sticker that said:
"My other car is a peice of shit too"
I need to buy another beater (probably an old chevy 3/4 ton pickup).

86 olds delta 88 royal brougham. Chrome bumpers and rubber trim = ZERO dings, no parallel parking worries. Interior/exterior was in great shape, painted it myself.

My '81 Grand Prix that I was building. Ran very well, but I think it was wired by Germans. Had more electrical issues than my next two cars. After that, I bought an '86 Jetta GLI Wolfsburg that was pretty good, but the body wasn't real special. Then, I bought my '83 BMW 528e...that thing was phenomenal...running and looking.

i wouldnt call this car junk, but i miss my old 98 Contour SVT. With intake, throttle body, exhaust, headers, chip, clutch, flywheel. I was running high 13's all day with this thing. And it ws one of the best front wheel drive cars i have ever driven. Plus it completely took guys by surprise when i was running last gen mustand gt's(stock of course) on the streets. I gained a lot of respect from that car, and to this day people still talk about the low 13's i was running on a 75 shot and some more mods. They never knew a contour was capable. Ahh the memories.

I miss my old '91 Maxima. My dad gave it to me when the car had 99K miles. I drove it to 197K miles when it got wrecked in an accident. The engine never burned oil, the tranny worked flawlessly. Only repairs were replacement of timing belt/water pump at 119K miles, bushings on the antirollbars, power antenna, struts/springs, brake pads/rotors even though my dad never maintained the car properly. The muffler was starting to go bad when I totaled the car and one of the power windows took a long time to go up. That's it for repairs. That was an awesome car!
Plus the paint was better than the PDG on my acura. After 48K mi the Acura has more chips than my Max had at 197K miles. It was also easier to do a custom stereo installation on the Max than the Acura.

My first crappy car was an 86 Town Car. It was the ugliest thing on the streets but smoked quite a few cars that it should not have - with over 300k miles on the clock. That monster attracted dents like I don't know what. It was hit 5 times while parked on my block. Got rear-ended by an Altima on the hwy. I had a few scratches on the bumper and a cracked tail light. The Altima was a total loss - engine parts all over highway - hood went through the windshield right over driver's head. He's lucky he wasn't an inch taller.
I miss my Roadrunner even more. 498 stroker. I went through a lot of tires with that one. It was stolen out of a private garage while it was immobile. I blew the driver's side head out the hood while racing - long embarrasing story.

I had a 1993 MX6 LS since 1996 and I saw it today and some punk ass kid was jamming on my 12 and smoking...I was like....NOOOOOOO! Anyway, the car was white and you could tell it's been through a lot of miles 163,000 to be exact but I had intake, headers, full exhaust and leather seats. Ran high 14's with a 2.5 L V6 which only put down about 140 hp to the front wheels. and that was with the bad clutch too. anyway,

i miss my 81 bmw 320i. it was a money pit, but it got me around and i learned my irresponsible driving in it. it was the car i had before the cls until i killed it. i must say though, what it lacked in power and luxury and reliablility (damn it lacked alot) compared to the cls it made up for in handling and the fun-to-drive quotient.
