Hmm.. I searche through a bunch of threads and on google and did not find anything. The only other thing I can think of is for you to go to www.cardomain.com and pull up a CL and put in the brand Tanabe as a filter.
Cant beat a brand new magnaflow catback for 480 shipped! They look almost like comptechs and sound great.
My friend has tanabe's, cant go wrong with them either. I'll try to find some of his pics

Neuspeeds in my opinion are the best looking exhaust available for the 2nd gen CL. (minus the flaking tips)

Comptechs look nice if you want a very factory look

I really preferred the sound of my apex'i over the CT's though.

well i would like neuspeeds but they dont make them anymore unless im wrong and the tanabe i like the look just dont want it to be raspy i wanna hear it first and i thogh magnaflow does not make a catback for the cl?

the only thing with magnaflow is you can get a complete custom set up (custom size piping/resonators/mufflers/tips/etc) at any hole in the wall muffler shop for cheaper than you could get CT axle backs.
I have the Tanabe exhaust. Put it on about 3 months ago. I have digital pictures/files on this computer but have had no luck trying to post them. Hitting the "insert image" icon above reveals a geek internet explorer script prompt.
I don't know what that is so sorry. If you can help me figure that out, I'll post the pictures.

Can't go wrong w/ what's available for the 2nd cl in my opinion. No set up on here that I haven't liked.
I have pictures posted:
pm if you want more; but I think the Tanabes look pretty identical to the Apex'i set up. (big single walled long tip with a large can. )
The Tanabes are deep, not raspy. The mufflers are compact and they bolted up perfectly. They are probably a little louder than the Comptech system probably because the baby muffler halfway back that you have on the stock system and the Comptech system is a resonator on the Tanabe versus a baby muffler.
While I love them, my wife doesn't. I may put the OE back on if the heat stays on me.

I am looking at few different axe-back muffler, which do you guys think is the best.
Most of the company stop making it already.
Tanabe: Tuner Medalion (universal muffler), Super Medalion Hyper
Comptech
Apexi: WS
BTW, i have a CL-P

I don't have the one's you have @ Time For Sleeep. Mine is the APEX' i RS-R universal. It's really loud! Cops do stare at me too up in WA state.
I have the cans tucked. They are harder to see but, they ARE there.

I bought the Cat-back Tanabe MEDALION TOURING for my Acura CL Type S 6-Speed...well...it's LOUD at idle and under load from 1200-2500 rpms and then it quiets out above that....I mean shake the inside of the car loud when at a stop light. Also, to Me is sounds like a 4-banger when you push in the clutch. So, I am removing it and putting the factory back on. I added a glass-pack resonator and still used the Tanabe resonator that came with the Cat-back.
However, It does look good on the car. So, personally I would look for another exhaust system for the car than tanabe. I wanted louder than stock but I did not want to hear it inside the cab at all while cruising down the highway or around town...Just when I step in it.

I have the tanabe exhaust on my cl. Before that I had the ct engineering mufflers. I prefer the look and sound of the tanabe over anything else for the cl. I will eventually go to a full custom exhaust.
If you are after all out performance custom exhaust is the only way to go really. A bolt on system will always be restrictive because it has to bolt up to a stock car.
I have pics and video in my build thread that no one looks at but I will repost here.
Pics of tanabe prior to install.

Install pics.
Here are the stock midpipe, heat shields, and ct engineering mufflers after removal.

Here are 2 video clips from a go pro camera mounted on my harness bar.
I also have weights.
stock heat shields 6 lbs
stock cat and shield 11 lbs
stock midpipe 20 lbs
stock mufflers(14x2) 28 lbs
ct mufflers(13x2) 26 lbs
tanabe mufflers(16x2)32 lbs
tanabe piping 16 lbs
XLR8 cat 5.18 lbs
XLR8 straight pipe 2.91 lbs
So basically as mufflers go ct are lightest, then stock, then tanabe.
Full stock setup would be ~65 lbs. My setup is ~52 lbs with xlr8 straight pipe.

That must be a new exhaust they made, cause I know for a fact my Tanabe exhaust I bought back in 2007 is lighter than stock, not to mention I also have way larger tips than you got, is that the hyper medallion, cause I don't see the hyper medallion etched on the tip?
