I have my Mr2 for 8 years, and it's ultra reliable, fun to drive (mid engine) when the rears break loose when pushed beyond it's limits. I also had a Mark1 Mr2 before this one. There are lots of aftermarket support available. See my album for my MR2 info. mods.

the handling is quite nice for a stock setup.
I rode in my friends turboed mister2 and it was a good
edge-of-your-seat ass hauler.

Mr Charles,

I dig the Kenisis wheels on the MR2. My friend has a similar set but polished on an old 89 928S4.

Kenisis wheels are great... I special ordered for a couple of my friends' Supra, Lotus, ect... When in need of custom wheels w/ custom offsets quick, Kinesis is it.

My buddy drives an MR2 and has for quite a while. Check out his page on it, with some mods it's an extremely fast car.

I think the best deal is for the Enkei Bortex is at DiscountTireDirect.com or something like that, they're $265 a piece + free shipping.

The non-turbos are 2.2 liter & not plumbed for turbos, while the turbos are 2.0 liter & internals are much stronger. There are turbo kits out for 2.2, but it's not worth the hassle & work, just buy the turbo version & upgrade from there. There are many topics regarding this issue in a couple of Mr2 forums out there.

www.mr2.com is the main portal of course. But yeah, the second link of charles's last post is the main mr2 forum.

MKIs are awesome too. Definitely, not as good as MKIIs as far as you 0-60 kinda guys go. But they handle great and are very reliable too.

Late year MK2 turbos (94/5) are hard to come by without paying a pretty penny. Good luck though, happy '2 hunting!
