I have decided to switch to Mobil 1 for my engine oil now due to tests that show it protects engine parts better than traditional motor oil. plus, it doesnt' break down as fast so you have to change it less frequently. From many recomendations, I have bought an Oil Boy Fluid Extractor for 44.99 off amazon. Can I just change the standard oil out, and just fill it up with synthetic? I do not have any experience and just wanted to make sure and anyone know a good place to get cheap Mobil 1 oil filters? Thanks

just suck it all out, and fill it up.

I used a pennzoil engine flush when I switched to synthetic. No problems.

Yeh, I had mine completely drained and refilled and it was good to go. If you're going to do it yourself, try to make sure you get as much out as possible. Maybe you want to take out the plug and drain completely for the first time you use the Mobil 1, then use the Oilboy the next times.
