one change will probably be a boring body-colored door handle.

Body colored door handles, new color option (Blue should now be available for the Type-S), and possibly a smaller mirror design. Other then that, save some $$ and get a good price on a 2001.....

I heard the 02's are getting 18's and possibly 10 more hp. I cannot confirm that, but a guy I know that works at a dealer told me.

Don't hold your breath on the 18's...that was just for the show car. You may be right about the 10hp, though. I heard they may up the output to 270hp.....

The 18's will prolly not happen. If they were gonna we would have seen a 18in wheel design by now.

The SEMA cl had 19's... and those 19's were far too agressive for Acura to mass produce. Acura is fairly conservative.

As for the 10 more HP... that wont happen either.

Their not gonna release the TL-S with 260hp... and bump the CL-S to 270. It would be pointless from Acuras point of view.

Just get yourself a 2001 CL at discount... "youll save a buck or two"

Uh oh.... you'll be real mad then if they start offering body colored mud guards too. I heard that may be available as well on the 2002....

if the 2002's come out soon (any ideas when?) and offer significant features and upgrades, I'll be more than happy to trade my 01 in for 02. Or if someone here cares to buy mine... more power to you.

But for color mudflaps and color door handles? hell no.

I agree. What about new "fog" lights like the TL-S?

Our headlights will not be any different.

Dont expect any design changes till at least 2004.

The body colored door handles and the logo'd steering wheel cover are all parts that you can very cheaply and very easily buy as replacement parts and install on your car. So are the mirrors if they do in fact change. But who knows if they will.

Acura is conservative? What about the Type R Integra, and the soon to be RSX? Acura isn't conservative.

Acura IS conservative.

Im talking about design.

The RSX prototype is big & bad... big deal... so was the MDX prototype.

But in production it will be just as conservatively designed as every other Acura.

i agree, it'll definetely be pointless to bump it to 10 more hp. for what? it's not THAT much of a difference to even bother to mass produce.

i on the other hand love the chrome door handles. didnt even notice them until everybody here started bitching

I wouldn't be surprised if there will be 18 inch wheels available for the 2002 CL-S, cause IS300 is gonna have 18 inch for optional wheels
