Another Motor Mount Question???

Typical symptoms, lots of engine movement and all the other good stuff.

While taking off the front and passenger side mounts, I noticed the brackets holding on the mounts looked strange.

The holes where the bolts feed through were oval in shape kind of like they got stretched out.

For example, if you looked down at the front mount and see the silver mount bracket, the hole where the mount feeds up through is oval and there is alot of play in there.

Is this right so the engine has some play or is the hole suppose to fit snug?

i checked my side mount and the holes are circular but that could vary in manafacturing. i can not see the engine moving enough to torque the lower bracket and thus bending the holes.

Thanks for looking, but mine are extremely oval (side and front) and it looks worn down. I guess I will call the dealership and see if they have the brackets in stock so I can check itout in person.

Yeah man that doesn't sound right.... I would agree with you on getting an opinon from the dealer, just don't let them try to service it for you cause' they will charge you out the ass. Unless, you dont feel confortable fixing it yourself.

I hope it works out for you and everything is resolved it sucks to pay that much for mounts then end up spending even more in the long run w/ issues.
