Another death, at the hands of an A4??
On a trip up to Maine after a concert in Philly there seemed to be a lot of cars looking at the CL-S and thinking how slow it was. Somewhere in Massachusetts on 95 there comes a car, almost out of nowhere and it seems like they want to have some fun. Mind you, it is 4am and no one is expecting to see a car at this time in the morning. The car (A4 1.8t) takes off in the right most lane of 95, leaving 1 lane between us for the slower traffic and so I work on catching up to the car. I didn't know what I was in for, so my friend looked over towards the car as we pass it doing about 95ish. The driver of the A4 takes off again, as do I and we keep running to about 130ish (when the wheels felt like they were off the ground) going around turns and stuff on a road I wasn't familiar with. We then slow down once again when it is a lost battle and look over to see that the driver, a woman, is lighting her cigarette. After the laughing (and crying) stops she begins to go fast again, and again we try to keep up. After about 5 miles of driving she pulls off the highway. Since it was 4am I was trying to figure out where she would be going, or coming from, maybe a stripped burning off excess energy?
The whole time in Maine we were really wondering what was done to the car. After reading about the Jetta 1.8t I am thinking it is really easy for the Audi to be upgraded to run over the CL-S w/o a problem.
Again, I have to be completely stupid for driving so fast without thinking twice.

I have NEVER been passed by a 1.8 anything on the track...this includes twisties. If they catch up a little in the corners, I put the distance back on in the straights. My friend loves his '03 A41.8 but admits it is damn sloooooooooow (stock).
