I thought this might be a good time to tell about my cop experience yesterday since currently nobody is complaining about a [bogus] speeding ticket.

So I pull up to OPP and there are two people in the patrol car; in this city that means traffic and radar. The driver was basically a young girl or at least she looked it. We're both at the stop light, both lanes turn left, I'm on the inside. Light turns green, I have the smaller radius, I hit the green first and HARD, since the speed limit is 45mph and the CL is pretty quick, I get a HUGE lead.

Of course the instant-on radar comes on and I look down and I'm doing 50, maybe 52. Cops is quite aways back. OPP doesn't use moving radar, ever...plus there's a hard medium between e-w lanes so on-coming traffic is off-limits. What's this? So I move over to the right lane and break it down to just over 45mph, I think my speedo reads fast anyway. BTW, my foot is shaking and V1 is blasting; on and off the radar goes I guess she's trying to catch me speeding.

So this would have been a perfect time to give me a ticket. Cop could have easily said I clocked you doing 55 or even 60 or even 65 and you were way out in front. Do some cops lie? Yes. Do they hate cause you drive a better car than them? Maybe. Have I ever, in over 15 years and dozens of traffic stops, had a cop tell me I was going faster than my actual speed? Never.

I have yet to run into a power hungry cop (knock on wood). All 6 that have pulled me over have been great in that they did their job and also I havent gotten a ticket from any of them.

On the other hand I have heard some horror stories about some cops basically making people feel like sh*t.
