i own a 87 jeep xj
3rd owner
267000 miles on the original engine
no oil leaks (took engine apart and replaced all seals this summer)
And this thing just won't die!!! Jeeps are built to last, extremely durable, I guess the old military specs for endurance still carry over. Man you got alot of miles on your Jeep Type-S!

The highest mileage among the cars my family has owned is the 1988 Mazda sedan, it had about 100k miles on it when we sold it. Then it should be my 1995 Accord it was about 82k when I sold it last month. But my father traded in his 1995 Camry V6 sedan in 2000 at about 80 something thousands miles also.

we(my family) got
Dad with a 2002 Tundra 4x4 V-8 with about 23,000 miles(orginal owner)
mom 2000 Honda Odyesee 3.5 V-6 with about 80,000 miles(orginal owner)
and my Accord (94 Honda Accord) with 225,000 miles on it. no transmission or motor work done to it just oil changes(knock on wood). i'm gonna have over 300,000 on it when I get my new TL. because I still got 1.5 years of school left and i'm putting about 1,000 miles on my car a week.(my g/f lives over by columbus so I drive to school then on the weekends run to columbus).

We had a 1984 Olds. 98 w/ 275,000 when we sold it in 1996. Currently, we got a 96 Range Rover 4.0 that replaced the Olds in 1996 w/ 120,000.

No longer owned but I had two high mileage vehicles. I sold an '83 Cavalier in '91 which had about 250k miles on it.

But my best was a '76 Chevy van with a 350 motor which was rebuilt once. But still had the original Turbo 400 transmission and that vehicle had well over 400k miles. Nothing like that 3-speed TH400, they don't make them like that any more...
