Alpine Nav DVD question
Ok everybody ,I have seen that the factory disc can be ripped and burned and it seems to work for most people .Anyone with aftermarket Alpine DVD nav in their car ever try this ?I am about to go buy this whole system but I need one copy of the Alpine disc .If anyone knows the answer or would be willing to help me out let me now .Thanks in advance
.And before you ask why I need the copy (i know the unit comes with one ) just trust me I need one copy for something upcoming.

i put my alpine navi disc into my dvdrom in my computer and its a dual layer disc with about 6-7gb's of data on it. no way thats fitting on a regular dvdr. not sure how everybody on here claims to have copied the stock one unless its a single layer disc or they leave out some information.

actually you can compress a dual layer DVD onto one...but quality seems to suffer a bit. When it comes to movies its easy since some of the info is not so important but with navi information it might be costly. Jens let me know what you decide since I have the Alpine navi and looking to buy the 2.0 upgraded software.
