All the room under the cup holder

I pulled out my cup holder and there's a TON of room under there. Is there a reason for this? Is there some option I don't have that usually takes up that space? Thanks.

I used to fill up that space with spare change. You can fit tons of quarters/dimes/nickles in there....

If you have a newer CL, I think this is a hold over from the redesign. My first cupholder sat pretty flat in the area. When I switched to the newer design, the cupholders sat higher up (with room underneath). My original cupholder was two pieces, there was a round separate piece that held the bottom of your cup steady in the other [main] cupholder piece. It didn't work well.

I found that room under the cup holder to nicely accomodate an emergency stash of Trojans. Like that, one is never caught without the proper equipment when employing the chick-magnet properties of the CL-S.
Of course due to the adverse affects of extreme temperature change on latex, long term storage is highly discouraged. If you are having a dry spell, periodic inventory rotation is recommened.
