Air Filter. OEM only?
2001 CLS.
Napa sold me a "Gold 6444" made by Wix.
Is not the same shape as the Accura original at all. I mean the plastic mold part, not just the paper filter part.
Does this matter? I'm paranoid it's not a complete seal like Acura one, thus little pieces of rock/sand are gonna bypass it and go down the airthroat.
Money wolves are nippin at my ass, only reason i considered it. $15 compared to $45.

If it doesn't fit; you must acquit (or not use.) You can buy the OEM Acura filter on line for about $20.00 at several on-line dealers whose name escapes me. Google "acura parts" and they should appear ( maybe curry acura or sunnyside acura--tha may not be the ones). My dealer also charges 45,00; that's why I went elsewhere. Maybe you got the Wix Filter for the Non S Type which is different. I've not really seen an S type air filter listed except by acura and some high performance filter.

Sure enough the Wix filter sold via Napa Auto Parts is #2023. $15.32 total if anyone is squeaking or can't wait a couple days for shipping.
Now i wanna change the pollen filter.

a true test is to take the filter off the car.... place the new filter ontop of the old filter... (Gaskets facing eachother)... if the gaskets line up exactly you will not have an issue with the new filter..

I just bought the K&N stock replacement (part# 33-2178) from ajusa.com ( http://www.ajusa.com/cgi-bin/knfilte.../google-200205 ) for 40.89.
They have free shipping (thanks for posting that smitty). Something to think about when money isn't as tight.

it seems like most of the auto part places around here carry only the cl-p filter.
