Agean vs. Montery Blue??

Hi - several months ago I first saw a blue CL -S out on the road - but remembered there was no blue for the CL-S (only Montery blue for the CL base level). So I got up on the website and found the "new" color "Agean Blue" CL-S. Anyone know if the Agean blue is significantly lighter than the Montery blue?? The Montery blue was too dark for me plus I wanted an S. I have not been to the dealership to see the Agean blue close up but plan to soon.

Also, anyone know if this color will be out in the 2002 CLs?? Thanks, Rustito

You should do a search before posting a pretty basic question like this. It's not in my FAQ (yet), tho, so I'll cut you some slack.

aegean blue is availible right NOW, if you want it. Aegean is the Type S's Blue, monterey is the regular CL/CL-P's blue.

Monterey is a just a bit bit darker than aegean blue - actually, a side by side pic would be GREAT. Any New york monterey's want to hook up?

I've seen a lot of Aegean blue CLS' on the dealer lots. I would have gotten one myself, but the ones I saw were w/o Navi. From what the dealer has told me, the Aegean blue is replacing the PDG, so expect to see it next year for the 02 model.

Aegean Blue is not offered in Canada...just in the U.S. But I think the Eternal Blue is pretty close to Aegean.

Say WHAT? Does that mean they're only making 900 Aegeans?

I wonder how long the gap there was between making the last PDG and the first Aegean Blue. 10 months?

Nah, they're not only making900, I mean that in the lineup of coolors, PDG went out and Aegean came in a s a regular color. That's the story I hear from one of the dealers (the one I trust) Sierra Acura motherfuckers told me that the Aegean ble was a mistake and they only did it to promote the TLS.. This all form the same guy who told me I'd have holes where the mudguards are if he took them off.. YEAH RIGHT. Like the holes weren't there already

This is dumb but what does PDG stand for?? Why did they only introduce the Aegean Blue mid-year?? Is it really that limited?
Rusitio (anyone remember the Melborne blue Legends?? That was my first)!

Eternal Blue is a medium navy blue. It's also offered on the Accord and Civic. Aegean Blue is a bright electric blue and doesn't look at all like Eternal Blue (except maybe in the dark). Aegean Blue is only available on the TL-S and CL-S and is not available in Canada. The TL-S and CL-S in Canada are only offered in Eternal Blue. Eternal Blue only comes with a Parchment interior and Aegean blue only comes with Ebony.

Aegean = bright electric blue?
I don't know if I agree with that description.

Click on the link in my sig to see pics of my car and see for yourself. Under direct sunlight, It is a bright blue, but most of the time it is a fairly deep/dark color.

Dude, you live in Bethesda? AegeanCLS lives in Bethesda.

He's got an Aegean Blue CL-S if you didn't figure that out from his s/n.

Or you could just roll up to Rosenthal Acura in Gaithersburg - there's bound to be a handful of Aegean Blue CL-Ses and TL-Ses around.

Great dealership, btw.

Oh, and Aegean blue has been availible for the CL-S since April, so it is quite possible the car you saw was an aegean.
