Aftermarket Stereo Question

Okay...so I know this is a noob question and the topic was hot about 4 years ago, but I'm just getting around to my stereo.

I want to replace my stock stereo with a single CD/MP3 player in my 01 CLS and was wondering where you guys got the in-dash kits? Or do I have to custom make one? I go to circuit city's website and it says "no aftermarket radio will fit your car"...and I'm what the freak! I've searched the forum and can't find any details on the kits...just stereo's. Any help or existing thread link is appreciated.

Check out http://www.thezeb.com/p-Metra-Turbok...868-107028.htm

If you sand down the rediculous texture and spray it with a flat black paint, it matches perfect. Nice quality kit.
