AEM vs Xephyr

So what are soem of the difference/advantages to the two different CAI setups? Other than price - the AEM is about 215, and the Xephyr is about 185. Are the setups comparable in time and energy? Any input is greatly appreciated. I have nit thought much about mods yet, but would like to learn how key is this one....

Xephyr includes an EM bypass valvce and you can convert it to a RAM air..

empeters is right, the Xephyr intake comes with the AEM water bypass valve installed. Since the pipe is cut, you can convert to a short ram intake. With AEM, they want another $40 for the bypass vavle, plus you have to cut the pipe yourself and install it.

Do a search on the board history, you'll find a really big discussion on this. There was an issue of bolting the induction pipe to the car. AEM does that, and the new Xephyr powdercoated induction pipes do that as well. Ask chris for details ... since it's his shop ... hehe ... www.xephyrperformance.com

I did the search.. only about 57 strings.. wow.... I think I will go with the Red Xephyr to match the car. I just have to wait a month or so. I just bought the car (160 miles), and I promised my motorcycle a new Corbin seat first...

dlp,

Also, AEM has a built in velocity stack to smooth out air flow, whereas Xephyrs' dos\es not....but the difference in HP is marginal at best IMO.
