AEM filter rubber ripped

Yesterday, I was filling up the washer fluid and just looking around and noticed that the AEM filter rubber tore away from the metal clip. Has this happened to anyone else? The filter is just sitting there being held in place by the back of the road lamp. I haven't even had the AEM CAI for a year. Why would it do this? So now, I'm thinking if I should get a new filter or get the Icebox.

Same thing happened to me. Before you go blaming AEM, come to the realization about why it happened ..

I TIGHTENED THE DAMN HOSE CLAMP TOO MUCH

Swapped it for a plain old Ractive filter from a shop, lightly tightened the clamp, never had a problem since. although switched to icebox last month. (for other reasons)

I had the same problem, and thank god nothing happened to the engine. I went to import shop and they gave me a free new filter under warranty. Make sure you don't drive the car, because if something happens to the engine, it won't be fun!
