AEM CAI opinion after installation!
It's awesome dude ! you've gotta get it !
after the installation, and I started the car it dosen't make any noises until hi-rev.
while in the car at idle or regular driving, everything feels the same as stock, not even rattles.
on my way home I tried to accelerate from 60 ~ 100, and 0 ~ 60. you don't feel too much of a difference until 5500 rpm, that's when the intake gets really loud. I defenetly felt difference on the high end rpms. and I can say I'm almost 90% sure that my 0 ~ 60 time has improved, alot !!
the thing I don't understand is why dose it gave me so much of high end torques, but notmuch of a difference when I passed 3500 rpm when the Vtec kicks in ?
but either way, I think it's a must get item !!
PS: I'll post pictures of it later on tonight.

i was the same way when i got mine, almost everything you do you feel more high end power becouse of our cars being auto. the one thing that helps the low end is the apex vtec controller. wait until you get the headers it is a night and day difference.

rurofan,
VTEC does not kick in 3500 rpm. I believe the plenum intake opens up at ~3800-4000 rpm. VTEC kicks in @ 4800-5000 rpm.

Yo dude...wassup!!!
Refresh my memory on how you had it configured. If you have it set up the way my memory serves me, I might know what the problem is.

Check out the AEM CAI:

You'll notice that the pipe is fastened to the body of the car at two distinct points. If my "old-man memory" isn't faulty, I remember that your CAI is just resting in the spot where your stock airbox used to be. Maybe that's it and it's just humming due to vibrational forces in your engine compartment? Anyways, that's my guess...and if I'm way off-base, don't pay any attention to this senile old man. If that wasn't any help, I'm sure one of the more knowledgeable guys on here would have the solution you're looking for.
