AEM CAI Install questions

First off, let me apologize for any stupid questions I may ask. I'm not the most mechanically inclined person in the world. I know the CAI is not very difficult to install but it will probably be a challenge for me (and my friend who's helping). I don't even change my own oil but my friend grew up fixing the POS hand me down cars he drove through high school. But working on a 2001 Acura probably has little in common with the '58 Ford pickup or '76 Chrysler Cordoba he used to repair daily (with duct tape)

A few questions....
2b) Disconnect the breather hose from the air inlet tube. (Which one is that?)
2c) Remove the valve cover breather hose assembly. (Huh?)
2d) Disconnect the water bypass hose from the throttle body or the fast idle thermo valve, where equipped, located at the lower portion of the throttle body..... (Huh? Where's the throttle body?)
2i) Loosen and remove the air inlet tube from the traction control throttle body. (Where's that?)

I could go on and on.... Do I need the Helm's manual for this since I'm basically clueless??

Bueller...?

Jens...?

Anyone...?

TIA

sorry this isn't gonna help, but the Xephyr CAI did not require any of those steps.

Go to the Xephyr website and hijack his instructions for the install. If you can't figure it out from there take it to a shop.

I will try to help...
In pic #1, #2 2b) breather hose is the red one in fornt, to the left side of the pic. Of course this is the red hose supplied by injen.
2c) The Valve Cover is the plastic one that has Acura Symbol, It has plastic screws. untighned it will come off. You need to so you can disconnect the breather hose ( Left of Pic #1, Pic #2, front of Pic#3 and Pic#4)

2d) The Water Bypass is the small red hose to the right of Pic#1 and Pic#2. The Throtle body is the aluminum block left of the red ring in pic#1. This is a tricky one!

2i) this is the gray tube in the pic #1 that connect to the CAI.

I hope this helps

So let me understand this, the AEM is MORE EXPENSIVE, comes WITHOUT a bypass valve and you don’t even get installation instructions ?

What a deal that is ?????

I know, I know, there is the whole Xephyr MIA subject, but you must admit the above facts are pretty funny.

It comes with instructions... I'm just incapable of understanding them.

I wonder if the guy who's been waiting for a refund from Xephyr for 3 months thinks that is funny??????
