The reason to get stainless steel braided brake lines is to increase brake pedal firmness and minimize brake pedal fade.

The way this works:

The stock lines are made of rubber. The brake system uses fluid to apply pressure to the brake pads. When the pressure reaches a certain point, the rubber lines will alllow some play or flex (like blowing up a balloon) which takes away from the pressure applied to the brake pads. By replacing the rubber lines with steel braided lines, you can minimize or eliminate the flex and therefore eliminate the loss of pressure to the brake pads and increase the overall performance of the brakes.

There shouldn't be any warranty issues if the lines are installed properly.

Not to my knowledge. PM blxmjx. He was selling a good set (lifetime warranty) of these at around $100. You should see if he has a set still available. I have them on my car.

SS lines are all the same....all better than rubber....the reason why we dont have them on the car...is that most people dont need or want them....can see paying an extra $300 for your car if the manufacturer installed them? No. But the aftermarket is a place to get things that arent necessarily needed.
