Acura CL type S

I recently bought a Acura CL type S. During the test drive I toke it on the highway and after running through the gears noticed that in mannual mode, when I get to 4th gear I can't rev. I will acclerate but very slowly. I have tryed different speeds and it's the same. I was driving at 55-60 and shifting into 4th and the engine wont rev. The engine will hold at 2500ish revs max even if I floor it. When in automatic mode I can get into all the gears and the engine will rev up no mater what speed or gear. I called Acura dealer they said they don't know. I need to know ASAP if this normal or what's going on since I did get a Warntee for 60 days.
One last thing I did look into the computer and there was one stored code. Don't know if this has any connection to the trans issue as my friend that was with me dropped my reader and now the lower half of the screen doesn't work.

So in the Sport shift mode you are at 2.5k rpm in 4th gear? Well in sport shift, the gears don't shift automatically and when in 4th gear, it takes a long time to get up high enough to have to get into 5th gear. In 5th gear, my revs are at about 2K when driving 65-70 and thats in automatic. I'm pretty sure its just because of the sportshift mode? I could be wrong though so take my words with a grain of salt.

Well it's not about being at 2500 and in fourth. The issue is being in fourth and having no power. I will slam the accelerator and the engine will not move on the revs. Just stay at 2500 and speed up at a snail pace. Lets say one mph ever 30 seconds once in fourth in the sport manual mode.

Oh okay now I understand.
