OMG! So I get home today and pull my auto CL in the garage....... i close the sunroof.... no problem...... then i put up my driver window with no problem............ THEN I GET TO THE PASSENGER WINDOW and it would NOTTT roll up!! .... I contact the dealership ... he says sorry! and that he will pay to fix it........ est. $350..... I check the fuse and there was no problem........ all of a sudden I think to myself... why would driver window roll up but passenger window wouldn't?? In my head i am thinking I SHOULDA LISTENED TO EVERYONE!! i was getting quite pissed off... ........ finally I get in the car again and try again and it still doesn't work..... i look down at the power window lock and its off! ..... LMAO! i clicked the button on and roll the window up and call the dealership to cancel claim.....
what a dumb@$$ huh??

I truely believe you got an outstanding deal. next time i buy a car im going to let you help me....*laughter* ;-)" maybe because I live in Arkansas and all you see around here is GM products that are from 1902-1989 and mostly "big" trucks... rarely you see acura's in arkansas..... mostly ford/chevy/hoopties! ;-)

Thats nuts! I have done that before. $350 is crazy. FYI to those who dont know---I got a new window motor/rail/regulator assembly from acuraoemparts.com for $78.54 and it took 30min to change myself with a 10mm wrench and a phillips head screw driver.

yes you overpayed. its a fact. 11k for a non-type s, with 77k miles is not a "steal." everyone on this board has already told you. knowing what you SHOULD have paid isn't going to do anything but hurt your feelings, and even then, you probably won't listen to us.

im sorry dude, but that was a bad decision, hopefully it works out for you, shit i got my type s 2 years ago for 9 grand, but thats just me, and you shouldnt mod it performance wise, just get its looks down, most regular mods for the engine will get you to type s level and for that you shoulda just gotten one, for cheaper! regardless enjoy it and barring any trans issues you'll enjoy it way past warranty

it's still running great! I did run over a nail and punched the tire , but I went to WalMart and got a kit to patch it.... and it runs great! THANKS FOR ASKING.... I got the windows tinted.... 5% and I also hooked up my 2 12" subs..... oh yeah and I took that ugly @$$ front license plate off! I'll have to upload a recent pic of it..... believe it or not it looks a lot better than it does in the e-bay picture!! nighthawk black pearl is AWESOME when it is freshly waxed! it looks and runs sharp!! .....

MIKE TYPE S
you say"regardless enjoy it and barring any trans issues you'll enjoy it way past warranty"

are you saying it's not covered under warranty anymore? because I think acura extended it to 109,000 miles

2003 Acura CL owners!
Do you strictly put premium gas in your tanks? I started off doing that... not I just put regular it..... but it says "PREMIUM UNLEADED ONLY" are they just trying to make us by the expensive gas? is there even a difference in the grades of gas? that would be a great science project!

Yes there is. It regulated by the government. It's a LAW.

The CLS should use 91 or 93, but since the CLP engine doesn't make as much power I think 89 will run fine in it. But I'm sure it calls for 91 or 93.

Just quickly going back to your question on if you over payed...

Well according to KBB, the car in excellent condition (which according to them it means:
* Looks new, is in excellent mechanical condition and needs no reconditioning.
* Never had any paint or body work and is free of rust.
* Clean title history and will pass a smog and safety inspection.
* Engine compartment is clean, with no fluid leaks and is free of any wear or visible defects.
* Complete and verifiable service records.

Less than 5% of all used vehicles fall into this category.)

The car is worth $11,155

The car in good condition (again according to them it means:
* Free of any major defects.
* Clean title history, the paints, body, and interior have only minor (if any) blemishes, and there are no major mechanical problems.
* Little or no rust on this vehicle.
* Tires match and have substantial tread wear left.
* A "good" vehicle will need some reconditioning to be sold at retail.

Most consumer owned vehicles fall into this category.)

The car is worth $10,375

And Fair (again:
* Some mechanical or cosmetic defects and needs servicing but is still in reasonable running condition.
* Clean title history, the paint, body and/or interior need work performed by a professional.
* Tires may need to be replaced.
* There may be some repairable rust damage.)

Its worth $9,335

So I hope that the car that you bought is in IDEAL condition if you paid $11k for it. However at 77k miles i doubt it. It didnt even have the original mats with it thus me saying that I doubt the "excellent" condition.

Now if you are looking at retail value, then you got it at a "steal" since retail is calling for $14,385.

And never forget that you can always knock about 10-15% off of the dealers asking price. I have done it plenty of times and always came out on top. Especially when buying a brand new car at 1% over dealer invoice.

I still think you could have done better but why beat a dead horse... What matters is that you are happy with the car and its being taken care of and its taking care of you.

BTW, I think that this is my longest post in about a year...

You guys told me so. ;-(

So I am driving down the road at about 65-70MPH, the damn tranny downshifts to what feels like 2nd or 3rd gear......... talk about freakin' out! Wow... it's only done it like twice tho...... and somedays it rides perfectly. Nevertheless; I called Riverside Acura in Little Rock, AR, and they told me to bring it in this Monday and Acura will cover it if the tranny is the problem, which I know is the problem. Anyways..... Glad I won't have to pay out of pocket, they also throwing in a Loaner car, most likely a 08 TL. Who knows? If that's not service then what is? THANK YOU ACURA!
I will let you know how everything goes......... for the people following this thread, again I am doing this for informational purposes only, please don't bash me, my car, or this thread! THANKS!!!

;-)

OK PEOPLE!! NEED SOME MORE HELP!!
Ok this link shows you the car I am trying to get off eBay.....
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...TODAY.m238.lVI

The dealership is called "Memorial Auto Central"
website is http://www.memorialautocentral.com
The owner is "Adam" AKA Ararat Karoglanian

Well I typed his name in Google and this is what came up!!!! I FREAKED OUT!
http://ripoffreport.com/reports/0/205/RipOff0205523.htm

The link above is where consumers post RIP OFF REPORTS and this is his dealership and it reveals his criminal background and everything about the deal that when wrong!!

But on the other side his feedback on eBay is positiive... maybe that was a one time thing? IDK ..... investigate and let me know what you think!

EVERYONE TELLING ME TO GET A TYPE-S and MANUAL TRANNY... but will it be more than the $10,995 he is asking?! Plus is you investigate the links I posted above.... this guy seems a little fishy... I am sooooooooooooooooooooo CONFUSED!! HELP!
I'm dealing with Adam right now buying a vehicle online.....I'd just like to know if he's an honest business man...His business has two addresses one at 940 Hwy South Houston the other at 9700 Westpark Dr,so which is it? he's the only person ever answering his contact number...His other number is a wrong number...Is this fellow legit..Operates with Expro Collision & Repair Please HELP..anything anyone?? Does someone have other contact numbers for Adam

IT WASN'T TRANSMISSION PROBLEM!
THANK GOD!
CEL came on and code came up for Cyclinder 3,4,5,6 and multiple misfire.
Got 6 new spark plugs and put them in and reset light by taking red battery cable off for about 15 seconds. Car doesn't hesitate anymore! Runs great so far!
My next problem isn't huge but it sucks! My passenger window dropped into the door.
I searched this problem.
I:
-took door panel off.
-unpluged the wiring clip for harness.
-peeled white plastic cover off.
-found cables and other parts seems like it was the regulator.
-grabbed the window and duct taped it shut from the inside, you can't see it from the outside because of tint.
-ONLY PROBLEM I couldn't find an answer to is "my motor still works i can hear it, does the regulator come with the motor as one piece? I am confused about that part.
I want to get it fixed, should I just buy assembly from dealership? I read some people just buy like 04-05 honda accord coupe regulator..... any suggestions?
