acura accesories pricing (blackwood gauge trim and others)

I got my 2002 CL-S completely bare accept for the all-season floor mats from the dealer and now i want to get the spashgaurds for sure and maybe a few other things such as the blackwood dashboard gauge trim..they quoted me $150!! isnt that a bit outrageous for a peice of plastic that you just stick on the dashboard??? anyone know where to get it for cheaper??? anyone have any input on how it looks???

Your best bet is to go to autocarparts.com. The guy who runs that (Tim) actually runs the TL board. He has pretty good prices and he ships quickly too....

BLUE WOOD!

It's about as tacky as it gets.... Thats only reason I didn't get the black/greyish interior. Now switch the blue crap out with with emparchment style plood! that'd be sweeeet

Blue wood... you mean blackwood? It's just as real as the wood that comes with parchment!! Anyway, the blackwood seems to get more compliments then the regular wood. Most people didn't even notice my CL had woodtrim, but everyone in my TL loves the blackwood... they think it's marble!!

Yes, I know it's all fake.... hence I used the word "plood" (plastic wood)

I've only seen the nasty blue stuff that comes with the black enterior on the type-s.

and its fricken tacky!

That's strange b/c mine definitely looks black. No blue tint at all. I wonder what's up with that? Maybe the '02 blackwood has more of a bluish tint to it??
