Confirmed my suspicion today, It's dead. I need advice when dealing with my service manager if I'm the first case they've seen.

1)How did you explain & convince them of the problem.

2)How long did the repair take?

3)What production # is your Type S? (wondering if this is only on certain #'s or early models only)

Repair took about 1 hr...

I just told the service manager that it wasn't working and he took a look at it, had me rev the engine and ordered the part for me.

But of course, I had someone else(OGoldn1) have to go through a long process so I could cash in on it easy

Production # is in sig.

It really surprises me to see how many of these things are failing. From what I have seen/read this is the most commonly reported mechanical failure of our cars to date. I would also take a guess and say that anyone NOT reading this board that has the actuator malfunctioning, probably doesn't even know it.

How many people have had the problem on here so far? I can think of at least like 5 people, maybe 10 that have reported it.

I wonder if Acura is proactively checking these when we take our cars in for service?

I didn't see that thread in my initial search. Man, I hope I don't have to jump through hoops for something so simple to see. I assume that your's is fixed by now and still working.
