dude, you have to have amnesia, you must have had some shakeup! You should check out the scene to see if there were any irregularities in the road where it happened, maybe oil or a dip in the asphalt, but something had to cause that without effort on your side. Then you should find proof of what caused it, i don't see any inssurance companies who would let this slide as just a freak accident, they will prolly want to see proof that it wasn't your total fault. good luck either way, you are truly blessed to be okay.

All right folks I just got off the phone with the insurance company. The car is going to be totaled. I learned that anytime a car rolls that it will be totaled, so FYI The insurance person said that they generally go by Blue Book. I checked it out and the car is valued at 25.1k minus the $500 deductable. I think that I owe like 26k. That sucks really sucks. Plus, when the claim folks call I have to give them a list with prices of all of the after market mods and maybe they'll add that to the bottom line
My question to you guys is do I go out to the tow yard and take all of the mods off now or what? The plan is once I release the car to insurance they take it to the thier tow yard and do the appraisal. When that happens I'm pretty sure that I won't be able to pull off the mods. So, If I go out and start pulling stuff today will that affect appraisal Please help!!!!
By the way thanks for all of the kind words they really helped me through the weekend.

Taking parts off of a car can be difficult. Most impound yards will not let you work on your car at their facility, incase you get hurt. Plus the insurance company might think that the car is theirsafter they look at it.
My friend wrecked his Neon (yes a neon, but it was actually nicely done). It worth like 4000 but he had put about 6000 into the car. He had to buy the car from the insurance company inorder to get the parts off the car. You really need to talk to your ins. co before you go and pull parts off the car.

I did and the're suppose to cover all of the aftermarket stuff. I just hope that they'll pay the full amount. The plan was if they didn't cover all or most the cost of the parts that I would remove them and sell them. Thier are plenty of the vultures here and at least if I sell the parts I could recover some of my loses. I'm just trying to get too screwed on the deal.

If they’re PAYING YOU for the parts, why should you get to take them off the car?
I think its one thing or the other.
Since the tires were basically brand new, you should get full retail for those.
I wouldn’t attempt to sell them because they might not be safe anymore after the roll.
The value of the other stuff is all negotiated.

You should be able to get them to wipe out the loan for you. You can argue that you took excellent care of the car and the value of the parts far exceeds the $1000 difference. When my car was hit (and totaled) I was about 1500 in the negative. I argued with them that I had never used my insurance Co. for anything before. No tickets to accidents and would take my business somewhere else if they didnt cover the car. They agreed and took care of everything.

Good news, I have gap insurance on the loan. So, worst case I will loose the $500 deductable + the $500 they'll subtract off of the value of the car. I can live with a grand. Hopefully though with all of the mods the appiased value will be above the amount still owed on the loan. Talk about a crazy day!!!

Check out the new daytime pics I took. The insurance lady said that thier is a 90% chance of totaling it from the roll over.
If they do I have deal worked out for a G35C 6speed which has been fun to find If not then I get my baby back.
I also drove a WRX, G35 sedan w/ 6 speed and an S2000 over the weekend. Couldn't find a GTO to check out. Any other suggestions on worj to look at be for I close a deal else where???????

Moral of the story...if u wreck your car, take it to your house and pull all the aftermarket shit off of it before anyone see's it...lol

jruss, I'm glad you're OK. If I can ask: What kind of tires did you have?? If you had Potenza RE92s, it would explain a lot to me.
Also, this may sound dumb but you should checkout the Altima SE-R as well. Just my $.02.

Three Wheelin'
Kinda scary the pic of the roof/sunroof how the center of the front roofline top of the windshield just caved in like that. Seems if it were a multi roll it might cave in bad and hurt the occupant Being tall my head almost hits the roof

I never left the narrow road... I know it was all luck that I didn't go into the ditch! VSA never did anything to help.
I had taken that turn many times on my way to work without problems at even faster speeds (it's not a tight curve!). Goes to show you how crazy shit just happens

Personally, I think it's the Comptech sway bars. I've had the ass end kicking out a few times now since I had installed them. They are great, but I think Comptech overcompensated a little too much?? I mean, our cars' weight ratio isn't exactly well-balanced. There's pretty much nothing out in the back, and with the sway bars, it's bound to get loose. That's why I wasn't really mad when I spun out in the snow into the ditch, because it's just a trade-off of modifying the car. But I've made that turn a thousand times (literally) in many different cars under many different weather conditions, and I've never spun out there.
jruss -- Sorry to see your car like that, but I'm glad you came out alright. Darrin also had a pretty bad accident last week, and he got out uninjured. Glad to see that our cars protect their occupants like they should.
Good luck with everything.

Sorry to hear about your loss dude. As a nurse glad to see you made it out ok. I've seen plenty roll over victims that didn't. As for next car I'd have to say G35C, 350Z, Acura TL A-spec. Unless you've got the dough to get a 3series. Oh, BTW, don't mean to be a vulture, but wondering if you'd sell you're springs. Think of me as helping put a down towards your new car. HAHAHA, Get back at me. Again sorry about the loss.
