when my cl got in an accident last yr the only thing that got hit was the right fender and wheel. and that actually bent both subframes in the front end and still after putting all new pieces and 5.5K into the car the caster was out 1 full degree and the wheel was slightly further out of the car.

fixable tho, just customized the radius rod to shorten it and then changed my camber just a tad so the wheel looked symetrical with the other side. drives straight as ever now.

so there is always hope. you got a long road ahead of u at this point and a lot of decisions to be made.

if u were ever contemplating getting a different ride, this is the time. but if ur head over heels about ur CL as i am. then ur gonna have to roll with the punches bud.

i hope u geter back on the road skip. it's gonna b a PIT'A but u gotta remind urself that at the end of the day it's replaceable, and ur health isn't.

if u were in a lil civic or something ud be much worse off and ud likely b only concerned with ur injuries. FYI my car is outta commission right now too and it's gonna be an expensive fix, and I wasn't the same for the first 2 days. but the longer i'm without it the more I remember what makes me happy in life. sure the CL adds to the enjoyment but that's just a fraction of what makes me happy.

hopefully that'll cheer u up a bit skip. i know I needed some encouragement with my trials and tribulations with my CL.

Thanks man. The adjuster from insco came out this morning. Car is not totaled. He said it was close though. He wrote me check $5,400 to fix it. I think i'm gonna give up my cl... I meant whole front end shifted to right side. I know i won't be happy even if i fixed it. It won't be like before. I think I'm just gonna part it out. Engine and tranny are fine. Supercharger is fine too. I'm gonna search for another 6spd cl. If i find one that i want i'll just transfer all my part to that car. If i don't buy cl and get another car i'm just gonna part it out all. So we'll see. I'm thinking another 6spd cl or 6spd tl. I gotta search for car... Damn i feel horrible... This sucks...

Everybody has said it all. Sucks BIG TIME. I hope you and your CL get well soon. I can't believe I just saw that car, all shiny and mint just a couple weeks ago.

Take care of yourself first and foremost and keep in mind, although it was badass, it can be repaired/replaced.

damn dude. sorry to hear that.

I would not have filed it on my insurance since it was the other party's fault, in this case the cop, who have high insurance covering.

filing it on your own insurance should always be the last resort.

Damn, what a sad way to start out the year. This one hit close to home as I have an anthracite CL6 too. Even looking at the accident pics its obvious that you put a lot of time, money and effort into your vehicle. Wheels, drop, headlights, brakes and supercharger? Very tasteful show and go.

This sucks, but as many have said most important thing is that you are okay. And amazing luck w/ the cop and the insurance company! Also, look at it as an opportunity to get into a next ride w/ all the fun (and irritiations) of modifying. Maybe RWD or AWD?...
Then again there is something cool about the relative scarcity of the CL6 and the fun to be had on the unsuspecting especially w/ your SC.
Anyway, hopefully the rest of your year will pan out well.

I've been following that one for a couple months, but it's too far for me to get. I watching a different one with the same color combo in the midwest, hoping to pick it up soon.

You might want to keep an eye on this one if the drive isn't too far.

I think there is an AM here in PG county going for like $3400. It's an 03 but auto. You could do a swap and sell off the rest of the parts to recoup some of the funds. I'll try to find you a link...

Shipping a car isn't too bad. Paid about $700 for enclosed, interior transport, from FL to TX.

Agreed but the last one I posted has been on cl in VA beach for a couple months now and the price has fluctuated between $9-11K for some odd reason and money talks! Show up with some cash and many times you can make a deal.

Hey where in silver spring do you stay at btw? I'm off New Hampshire and Bonifant by the ICC. I drive all over the place and have never seen your car!

Bigdaddy- My location is right off RT 29 and Brigs chaney rd by ICC. That's pretty close!
Of course you don't see my car cause its stealthy..... Hehe kidding.
I've never seen you either. Hmm weird.. How's your project going?

Do you have any pics of your car before the accident, your car looks really clean. Also, did the insurance company take into consideration the mods you did to the car when writing you the check?

I would request a carfax from the white one paint on the front bumper is peeling out. Maybe you can have someone to take a look at the car ? Like Nauman? shipping would be $700
