AC issues

Hi, I am not sure if anyone had this issue before, but today I started my car, and turn ac on, I can hear that compressor is on, but no air blowing thru the vents, like ac fan is not spinning. Anyone had this, any fuses to look for. Car is on 54,000 miles and no dealer warranty. Any pictures where motor located?

Please help.

Thanks

I would check the heater fan fuse and relay as well as the a/c fan fuse and relay...

wanna hear something funny.... today Im driving to work, which I never do (I missed my train)... I had the AC on the whole time set at 70. Now usually it keeps pumping cold air out, I rarely ever lower it to 69-68... all of a sudden I look down and there is smoke blowing out of all the vents... so I got nerveous thinking my car was overheating or something and shut it off. engine temp was fine, nothing smelled funny that came through the vent... so I waited a few mins and turned it back on and it was ok. I think maybe the compressor shut off when it finally got cold enough, but the fan kept blowing air in and some warm air from outside mixing with cold from inside made the 'smoke' from the vents. still weird, I've never seen that happend before, lol.

and yes, my a/c compressor makes a hissing noise too everytime it kicks in.... friggin annoying!

I never hear hissing and my a/c workes fine... on the other hand... The "smoke" you were seeing was probably not smoke per say but more like frost... kind of like when you open a cold freezer in a really warm room. BTW, I too keep my temp on 70 but sometimes take it down to 69. I've never seen the frost and I've never had a problem.

The "smoke" is normal. Happens with it's really humid outside.

The fuses should be located either in the engine bay if you open the hood look towards the top left area. Also there should be some fuses by the drivers side kick panel. The engine bay usually houses a lot of important relays and fuses and the kickpanel has most of the accessories...
