ABS and TCS lights

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I need some help. For the last week my brake light has been coming on when I depress the brakes, despite full brake fluid, then last night my ABS and TCS lights came on. At first, the TCS light would come on and a humming coming from the front right wheel. Also had a slight ticking sound everytime the light would flash. Once both lights came on the car ran fine. Had the car checked for codes and nothing showed up. What could be the problem?

- Brake light came on when brakes depressed. (off now)
- Ticking and humming sound everytime the TCS light came on
- TCS and ABS light on car ran fine.
- No codes

HELP!

Jeff

Had the EXACT same problem on the left front a few weeks ago. The humming sound for me was the ABS self-test occuring frequently since my speed sensor went bad. I replaced that ($36) and it's fine. Now I can't figure out which plug to use the "paperclip technique" on to turn the F-ing lights off. If you can help me figure that out that would be great.

UPDATE: I had it looked at today and the mechanic hooked it to the ABS computer, found out that the LF Vehicle Speed Sensor went bad and a PFINH Signal Malfunction. WTF is that?

As far as what the sensor looks like , remove the wheel and look under the car. There will be what looks like teeth going around the wheel with a part bolted onto what I think was the A frame. There is a rubber tube coming down with one bolt holding it to the wheel. That is the front Vehicle Speed Sensor. Sorry, cant scan so this is the best I can do. If anyone has a scanner, its on page 19-73 and 19-74 in the service manual.

Yeah - mine does the same.

Sounds like ABS kicking in for a split second once I hit about 3mph or so.

i had the same thing i think it was my thread u were referring to... it's the self test abs when u start the car and drive for the first bit it does it twice for me...the maint'requ light and a bunch others blink a few times (some more than others)... and hopefully they all go away and ur good.. lol..

for me no light are on when the self test is done at roughly 20-30 meters after driving forward for the first bit
