AAMCO Transmission check?

Has anyone ever gone to them for this so called free multi point check.....

They say the check the outside of the car, a road test, check fluids, and scan for trouble codes

But then state other scans will more than likely have to be done at an additional cost

Can anyone vouch for them?

If it sounds to good be true then it is never true. There's no way they can pay salaries, lease and keep the lights on by doing free stuff all day, so chances are they are going to tell you something has to be fixed right away or you're headed for trouble.

I always find it best to find a good mechanic that works at a dealership and also does a little work on the side. These guys are always well trained and they have access to any special tools they need to borrow for an evening to work on your car. Ask around, someone you know probably knows someone like this.
