As of Tomorrow at 3:30PM my CL Will no longer be mine. She is heading down west for an auction from Ford. I changed my game alittle bit and got something that i wanted to buy ever since my brother bought one but i didnt want to learn on such a big vehicle.


I pick up my 2010 Ford Ranger XLT Sport, only thing the truck is missing is 4X4. Anyways thanks for the help throughout the years, the friends i made and good times at Canam and meets!

As long as it's what you want! Is the deal done? The electronics and comforts etc of the car you're used to now, are you sure you're ready to give that up for a small truck?

As with the others, i don't see why you would trade in the CL for a ranger, but everybody has different tastes and opinions, so it doesn't matter. Hope you like the new truck! Is it a stick?

The truck will be towing the track car my brother and I are building so the funds went to the track car from the CL. Truck was an amazing deal. 4X4 was an extra $3500.00 and $1200 more on insurance. this is my 2nd ranger and never had any issues.

 

about to sell mine and get something a little more reliable like a 2003 accord I4 with 5at

yea my cl is so unreliable, after 7 years of ownership I have had to replace lower ball joints, control arms and brake rotors/pads. I knew i should have went American. Oh wait the Cl is American DOH

the 5at in the accord is from the K series of transmissions and those things just like the <98 accords are bullet proof

 

the honda V6 trans is a giant pos from that time frame even the 03/04 accords have issues....

but since you brought up repair bills

1. 3 sets of lower ball joints (something that I have never had to do on any previous honda or american car that I have had)
2. Cross over coolant pipe
3. Air box housing
4. Now needs THIRD AT with the last one only making it 23K miles

 

NO, get a spray-on bedliner, protects the bed much better (the liner will actually wear away the paint under it overtime from shifting around and such, which then opens it up to water {which also likes to sit under it at times] and rust
i know it may be more expensive, but it does the job a whole lot better though

as far as brand i would prefer is Line-X (biggest thing is to make sure the dealer does sand/roughen the bed down before applying it though, to give it a surface to stick to)


as said before, if the ranger is what you want
but for me i would not even think about a 2WD one, but then again we do got snow here
