T66 Supra

Hey guys. I am condidering selling my impractical daily driver -- 1994 T66 Supra that put down 580 rwhp at 18 psi and 702 rwhp @28 psi to buy a CL or TL type S.

A few Qs -- does the CL and the TL have manual transmissions yet?

When will the comptec supercharger be out?

Anyone run NOS on their type S?

Anyone run agasint a S2000 or WRX? I test drove those cars too and they felt MUCH slower than the Acura.

I test drove a tiptronic CL-S and it felt stout. What do they dyno at? I love the looks. and practicality of the TL...just hope I could turn it into a 400 HP Supercharged low 13 sec car from it's current 260hp.

Any thoughts?

Keep the Supra if you can or you'll kick yourself later.

Comptech SC should be out by March/April but don't expect huge hp/tq gains

A couple of ppl are running small shots (50-60).

I raced my friends s2k and beat him 3 out of 4 races when I had just headers. He's just an average driver.

the autos dyno at ~200hp and 180 tq. the parasitic loss thru the driver train is pretty bad. headers and intake will dyno around 230hp and 200 tq.

Low 13 second CL on stock internals? hmmmm...maybe.

i would get the wrx, it handles tons better and is highly moddable..

with the cobb Club Spec Kit (280hp) the wrx hits 60 in 4.6 and get a 13.4 in the 1/4. enough to beat the $92K 2003 NSX in 0-60 and come close in the 1/4.. (C&D shows o-60 as 4.9 and .25 mile as 13.3 for the NSX)

and the RT Spec gets you 0-60 in 4.31 and 1/4 mile in 12.84

My Supra has 55K miles. It's a 94 black leather/black exterior, 6 speed.

It has a T66 Turbo, JE Pistons, a light porting, HKS 264 cams, 850 cc injectors, HKS type C wastegate, Greddy BOV R, Greddy FMIC, Custom cold ram air, Greddy Headers, VPC, S-AFC, HKS EVC-EZ, turbo timer, EGT gague, boost gague, 18 inch AVS wheels with S03's, Veilside ground effects, KYB AGX adjustable shocks, GREX springs, cusco rear & front strut bars, carbon fiber pedals, razo shift knob, AEM cam gears -- intake and exhaust, Stillen front end....and more

I bought it for 27K at BPU 1.5 years ago then spent another 15K 3 months ago on the motor, cams, turbo, fuel system, and electronics.

I sold all my extra parts. The car is a high 10-sec car. Extremely fast. Just not practical in the winter. I would consider a trade. I am in Nothern VA.
