760 V12 !!!

I just saw one of these rolling down the street today and had to do a double take. 438 hp and V12... I didn't even know they sold those over here yet. That gleaming V12 sticker near the sidemarkers is intimidating.

$115K though!!! Craziness...

Hahaha. Isn't 745i the only car in the world? By the way, 760 and 745 seem the same to me, both excellent luxury sedans with more than enough power and great handling, 4 more cylinders and some extra stuff are really not worth the extra $45k.

Parked next to one in downtown Atlanta. Beautiful car. The wheels on the one I saw were a deep dish 5 star design from BMW. Still had the "Drive Off" tags from the dealer.
That is one huge car.

I could not disagree more. But I also dont like mercedes too much. And considering the recent failings in mercedes quality...

The 760 is HOT and FAST. Love the thing!!!

No really, the S600 is the better car. The 760 V12 is not as powerful as the 600 (obviously), the 600 is more fun to drive (handles better and is much faster).

The ergonomics in the 7 is a complete disaster, the Idrive is a joke (horribly executed). Without a doubt, the 7 series would be a much better car without the intrusive and annoying to use Idrive. Materials wise, both cars have very nice interiors (leather and wood everywhere)

Oh, you talk about Benz quality.....I wouldn't say the 7series has been all peaches and cream either. The car has and still has plenty of electrical bugs.

Looks wise, that's subjective

I'll take the S600 thanks, add a Renntech chip and you're running high 11s.....now that's cool.

No one said bimmer was picture perfect either I just happen to see more brand new dealer tagged mercedes with burnt out tail lights then any other car on the road.

In the end its all personal choice my friend. We both know that and i respect youre better liking for the s600. I just have my loyalties toward bimmer ( i will say i do not like everything they are doing right now.) but i like the 7 series better then mercs, always will.

Cheers.

You can say I like BMW as well, I have had 2 so far (both ///M cars) and as you can see I'm getting a 3rd.

Oh, my oldman had a 00 S500 for 3 years and now an 03 E500....never had a burnt out tail light.

Yes, in the end you buy what raises your pulse rate.

Yep, and you definately have two very high pulse raising cars on order. I think youll love having both of those over having gotten the volvo in the end.

I saw one the other day and the car is huge! I'm not a fan of the 745, but love the 760. For whatever reason, the proportions of the design just look better to me on the longer wheelbase car.

i saw the first 760 to come in to minnesota back in like januaray or feburary, we were driving through the dealer and there was a truck in there and i saw it had 2 m5s, as we drive past it we see a 7 series with the v12 on the side, it was so sweet, they were just taking it off the truck

have you spent much time in an S CLass? My dad had an S500 and it wasn't that great, I think the new 7 is better inside hands down. Now the S600 will definately smoke the 760 any day. I think the 7 is a better all around car.

Yes, I said earlier that my oldman had a 00 S500. I thought it was an amazing driving car, the interior wasn't that great. We are talking about the S600 though, every ounce of that interior is leather, wood, alcantara. The S500 interior is not nearly as nice as the S600 (neither is the S55 for that matter).

How is the 7 series the better all around car? What is this based off of?

I just noticed you said that before.

THat's just based on my opinion of spending time in both cars. The S500 and the 745. I much prefer the riding characteristics and interior aspects over the S. The S was alot quicker though. But I haven't spent time in a 760 or new S600 so I really shouldn't judge.

i did not like the S compared to the 7 in terms of comfortability. The S wasn't nice on long drives, the seats weren't that comfy compared to the 7.

I think they were pretty euro exclusive. But ive seen 1 or 2 here in LA and i nearly shit myself when i did. I've also seen one older 735 with a 5spd.

EDIT: I'm not 100% sure about the 750, I only saw 2 745s, but I would guess they did. Isnt the 7 in the transporter a 750 with a manual, never saw it?

Plus for us Northeasterners, can't you get 4Matic on the 600? That would be the deal breaker for me in a second. MBZ all the way.

I don't think it was available ~(4matic) for the v12 models.
