6-Speed G-Tech Pro Runs
I finally got around to making some GTech runs in the 6-Speed. But first the disclaimer, this was meant for comparison with my old '01 CL-S and should not be taken as an absolute. I ran it at the same location I would previously test my '01 with the GTech mounted at the same spot.
With the 30 degree temps we currently have I would have probably run a 5.6 - 5.8 in the auto. Today I clocked a 5.30 on the first pass. A 5.34 on the second. The last pull I launched harder and spun through 1st ending with a 5.56 run.
In all I was very pleased with the performance and the outcome. There is a serious lack of traction, especially in this weather, which the 60 pounds of literature at the very back of my trunk didn't help.
With a proper set up and a perfect launch could certainly net a 5.1x. That is what I would expect at a half second improvement over my '01 CL-S.

It was the standard GTech, not the new Competition model.
I had my own custom intake, Comptech headers, AEM pullies and a self polished intake manifold. I am also running a Mugen 180 degree F T-Stat with a 180 F fan switch.
A dyno session will be run on the 14th of December to see what some of the minor changes could help.
