Maybe its just me but now that my car has finally made it to 50,000, the CL is making a different noise now I noticed. Sounds like I'm losing air or something just right as i get into the higher RPMs and switch gears. Is my mind playing tricks on my ears and making me hear things, or it this just normal when you reach 50K.

Some of you guys with the higher mileage could maybe elaborate.

Maybe it sounds different 'cause it's summer and you've got the sunroof open ?? or the windows down ??

Cars don't change tone at specific mileages... so whatever it is, it has nothing to do with hitting 50K

I cried a little when I hit 50K miles with my 6spd

 

nope thats not it, tried it all, no radio, sunroof up, windows up, air off. damn it....

 

Do you know what the IMRC is? Do a search if you dont. It breaks often and you wont hear or feal some of the high rpm power. I noticed mine was broken when I started feeling less power and sure enough it was broken at 55,000 miles. Just a thought.

 

My CLS doesn't make any different noises after I hit 50K, might want to get a Acura service tech to take a look at it.

is it like "psshhhhh"? mine makes that noise sometimes too when it shifts at higher rpms.
