yea it's going to be a bit b4 I get this thing on cause I wanna get the p2r manifold gasket when i install the plenums. and i'm going to polish it up cause it's got marks all over it up close. I've polished it up already but it's not preemo like i want it to be.

Mine is an 05 Auto. I dont have that issue and my car doesnt burn an ounce of oil. It is also a hit or miss problem. Some cars might have it, others dont.

Sorry OP i just don't see it happening. Sure you can possibly beat your friend in a 350z but Machine vs Machine or CL-S Auto with I/P/TBS vs 350Z(HR) Auto with I/E/Final Drive I just can't see happening.
Do you know what kind of FD he has on the Z? A guy on my350z went from a 3.5 FD to a 4.083 FD and gained .03 and 3mph in the 1/4 (just for comparisons sake) Here is a list of modified HR 350z for reference.

Hey, I am new here and had my CLS for about a year my sister has a regular CL as well. I was just wondering how the auto's compare to the 2003 6spds 0-60 and 1/4 mi. I have never seen the times posted for the 6spd. On sites I have seen the CLS auto at 6-5-6.7 o-60 and the regular CL around 7 seconds but no 1/4 mi times. Are those are accurate?
ill try with my mods now and new clutch but no headers yet.

better for speed I agree. But styl I'd like to at least put up a fight.
Like I said, I get the headers, exhaust and i'm fully bolted. Ad on a tune and then i think it'd be damn close.
Those plenums I put on are relentless. The car is defs better on the highway cause of those puppies. And when the headers go on it'll be BIG things.
I MAY not even change the exhaust to keep the stock look and sound.
