What do you guys think of this? Not really sure, why, but I was just looking for a cheap fast car.

My mom had an '84ZX, I almost cried when she sold it. It was running pretty good though when she got rid of it, not bad for a 16 year old car. I loved it even though it was auto it was still a real fun car to drive. The digital gauge cluster was cool.

get a 94-95 300zx...now thats a real z-car. those 80s ones so outdated, at least the 94-95 look awesome AND blow the doors off alot of current cars, especially with some mods.

It ran from what 1990-96. 1990 models had a problem but most if not all were fixed under warrenty. N/A models are bulletproof. I think the 300ZX is the best looking Z ever.

dude, seriously, if you want a cheap, good project car thats cheap as fuck to mod, look for like a 93-95 Z28 camaro....those are no more than 5k.
or even a 90-92 vette or something. those are a bit more, but again, cheap as hell to mod, and MUCH better looking than a 1984 datsun.

my bro just picked up a 94 non-turbo with 48,000 miles for under $10K. just a great deal. i believe it has 222 hp (3.0 liter engine) and has plenty of room to grow.

Watch for electrical problems in these 84-89 series cars especially with the digital dash. Water pumps were also an issue. If it is the original owner than he/she should have that history and be willing to share it. As far as fast is concerned, these only made about 160hp but were decently torquey under light/med throttle. Still very tame compared to today's standards.

My friend has a 300ZX TT that he's selling. The turbos are gone and he doesn't have the loot to get new ones. He's not cheap, he just got the car for free through one of his pops customers. The something about the oil seals are toast, I don't remember what he told me.

I had an 86 N/A 300Z. Was white, tan interior, digital everything & it spoke to you when the door was open, lights were on, etc. Very relaible car, only problem was valve tapping...drove me a bit berzerk...but it's the nature of that particular engine. The 5 spd I had was great on gas & plenty quick. Had Ronal rims(5 spoke) that were white like the car.
I say go for it, you'll have a blast driving it!!!
