Don't feel too bad. When I had my '99 9-3 serviced @ 30,000 miles it cost me $530.00. I'm glad my 2001 9-3 has all service covered up to 60k miles.

Screwed him SAAB style......My co-worker had one and I was not impressed....sorry.....she had NOTHING but problems with that car. Constantly in the shop ! Just a good old nightmare....

He got a lemon, no doubt. I never had any major issues with the car. I traded in my 99 automatic for a 2001 5spd. Very pleased with it. Some early 900's ('94, '95) had major issues as did the 92 9000. Stay away from those if you or a loved one is a considering a SAAB.

I think that is one of the years "she" bought. It was the 900 and she paid close to 30K back then and I am sorry, I just was not impressed. The steering wheel came out of the colum, then she had so much play, I drove it and toldher to head to the dealer, this is serious, your life is in danger driving the "Ultra new SAAB", then it was one thing after another, so I would never consider that brand. I driven Honda's since 1984 to present, that includes Acura's. Do you know any unhappy Honda/Acura owners with "nightmare mechanic" stories ? Very few....I am glad you got a reliable SAAB.
