that really sucks......as for the driver that lived, is it necessary to send him to jail? I'm sure he didnt mean to kill the other kids, and isnt knowing that u killed 3 of your friends, and probably losing your license for a really long time, punishment enough? They should make him travel to other schools and stuff, having him tell what he did in an effort to curb street racing among teens

they do that in a lot of cases like this. they get charged with manslaughter and get a suspended sentence with like 2000 hrs of community service, traveling around and telling other kids what happened.

They did show all of their yearbook photos...they're all Asian and 2 of the 3 killed were brothers.

Isnt it wierd though how more often than not the passengers all die or end up critical and the driver walks away?
Maybe other states should start to realize that at 15 children (and most def. still are children) arent mature or responsable enough to have a license and driving by themselves. In NY we can get a Junior License at 17 that lets you drive to and from work/school and thats it until you complete Drivers Ed then get your full license, if you dont complete Drivers Ed you have to wait until your 18, in alot of cases thats even too early. :shakehd: I shouldnt be one to talk I guess because I drive like a fuckin idiot, but after 7 yrs behind the wheel I think of myself as more capable and able to recognize the limitations of my car. Kids that age dont have the experience or the maturity to handle that

Stupid idiots. I'm glad they didn't kill a family or crashed into a house.
I wouldn't go so far as to say they deserved to die. But they definitely don't deserve to be on the road if they race recklessly with absolute disregard to the safety of other people around them.

damn that's so unfortunate...isn't it weird that the driver still lived...maybe this is a lesson to him...rather then being killed...he has to live with what he has done and that is a pretty harsh punishment if you ask me...

In the paper yesterday, they showed a close-up picture of a watch that one of the kids was wearing when he was killed.
It was eerie to see that the watch stopped at 7:29pm when the wreck occurred.
