yea, but its worth it in the end. even 3rd gear from 3,000-4,000 has some nice pull to 60. and then when i'm in 5th gear, the car has no problem going 80-100.
someone also asked what cams i ended up using, their just my stock cl-s cams, for now.

i dont like driving 500 miles in 2 days. i feel like i should just drive it normally. i'm driving it a little more than normal, but nothing too crazy. i'm trying to stay away from highway cruising and fluctuate RPMs. after 500 miles i'll get an oil change, and they'll check over everything. then i'll start bringing the RPMs up higher. after 1,000 miles i'll get another oil change/check and then i'll rip into it.

Videos
some people were requesting videos / pictures. there isn't much to photograph. but i shot these crappy videos w/ my digital camera. keep in mind all driving was done under 4,000 RPMs and by a professional on a closed course.
turn up the volume, the mic isnt great and youtube destroyed any quality.
4th to 5th gear shift under 4,000 rpms.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=G9eMogdxJQo
0-60 under 4K, 1st gear shift at 3,000.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=bVGji35wfKY
Rev w/ windows up then down.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=KqEFy4BnHU0
damn youtube ate up the quality of the vids, anyone wanna host?

the 4th > 5th i guess is WOT, i had the pedal mashed in 5th. i know the vids arent impressive, but its good documenting the process. the shifts in tiptronic are getting nice the more i use it, they are noticeably quicker shifts than the oem unit.

So is the tiptonic mode much respondsive with the new tranny? How long of a wait usually does it take for it to shift after you shift manually with the tiptonic?
All in all, do you think the the 3.5L swap is worth it?
Time to get some dyno numbers!!!!

vtec has gotta significantly deeper. i hear some noise in vtec changeover in 3rd gear, i can't decide if it's detonation. i had a stuck injector before, so i dont know yet.
but i played with an m3 last night. he was behind me on an entrance ramp, i started at 40 in 2nd gear. i got in the middle lane he got in the left. he remained roughly 1 car back from 40 to 100 and i shifted a little early. he then got on me again this time at 80 and i laid into 3rd and he fell back a little. needless to say he had no interest in me and did a flyby without a wave or nothing.
on a side note i'll be getting a tune sometime soon. that means dyno numbers.
