3.2CL/TLs with nitrous - please give me the details...

What brand did you go with? Why?

What style did you go with (direct port, fogger, wet, dry, etc) ? Why?

How much did it cost?

How hard was it to install/uninstall?

What size shot are you running?

Does your 3.2CL/TL have an auto trans? If so, how much do you think it can handle?

Did you upgrade anything else to go along with the nitrous? Fuel? ECU?

How many tenths improvement are you seeing at the track?

What other performance mods do you have?

Where did you place the switches/buttons on your dash? Pics?

What size tank?

Any accessories (like a bottle warmer)?

Where do you have the purge valve located?

Thanks to anyone who can help with that information.

What brand did you go with? Why? Zex, easy installation, safe operation.

What style did you go with (direct port, fogger, wet, dry, etc) ? Why? Dry...Zex only comes in dry. You don't need wet unless you plan on going higher than a 75 shot.

How much did it cost? About $500

How hard was it to install/uninstall? Scale of 1-10 (7)

What size shot are you running? 75 shot

Does your 3.2CL/TL have an auto trans? If so, how much do you think it can handle? Yes, 75 shot Max if you want reliability

Did you upgrade anything else to go along with the nitrous? Fuel? ECU? NO

How many tenths improvement are you seeing at the track? 13.55

What other performance mods do you have? AEM Cold Air, Comptech Header, Exhaust...

Where did you place the switches/buttons on your dash? Pics? Below the VSA button (Sorry, No Pictures)

What size tank? 10 lb Bottle

Any accessories (like a bottle warmer)? Remote Bottle Opener, Pressure Guage, Bottle Warmer

Where do you have the purge valve located?
No purge installed.

A couple more questions:

No purge? B-b-but that's half the fun!!

Wow, 13.5s, nice!

Is purge unnecessary for dry kits?

Where is a dry kit located, on the intake manifold?

How many sprays you get on a 10lb bottle?

How do you do against stock V8 Camaros/Firebirds and last-gen Mustang Cobras (pre 390hp)?

Is nitrous actually illegal to have installed on your street-driven vehicle?

Also, judging by your sig you did upgrade something else - sparkplugs. Are those a range colder than stock ones?

Also I see the pic at the link in your sig that shows the location of your switches - right where I was thinking would be the best place for them.

Is purge unnecessary for dry kits? It's nice to have, but not really necessary

Where is a dry kit located, on the intake manifold? (See Picture)

How many sprays you get on a 10lb bottle? About 10 quarter mile runs

How do you do against stock V8 Camaros/Firebirds and last-gen Mustang Cobras (pre 390hp)? I can beat most of them unless they have some serious work done. As for the 390hp Cobra...NO WAY IN HELL can I beat one!!!

Is nitrous actually illegal to have installed on your street-driven vehicle? Not illegal to have installed, but illegal to use

Also, judging by your sig you did upgrade something else - sparkplugs. Are those a range colder than stock ones? Oh yeah, I forgot about the plugs. Yes they are colder than stock.

SFLA_Type-S, what about your dealer? Do they know you've got nitrous? And if so, have they given you any problems with getting service done because of it?

I have the N20 botttle at the shop and it is Zex and it will be installed soon and I will have pics. All final pics of the car will be shown in March, but I will post the N20 ones as soon as they are done.

Jrock...i have it too...ive got the same set up as SFLA-typeS....its the best investment for the $$$ and ive yet to run into any problems....my track times arent as good (14.0 @107) but as you can see im 6mph faster than SFLA-typeS and only .5 slower....can you say traction problem for me....The ZEX setup is safer b/c it uses a computer to control how the nitrous runs and its cheaper than the Venom....The Venom on the other hand is the best you can buy as far as I know....you can check out my setup at http://photos.yahoo.com/zootking2002

As far as how do I fair against others....well recently i beat Fastvteccl, a turbo civic that ran 12's, and also hung with a new M3 from a 40mph roll....so you can hang with most 13 second cars and probably some high 12's from a roll.....good luck and spray that bitch

How about reliability? How long do you think your engine will last??. Do you think your car is running too rich or too lean? or is that what the computer adjusts automaticly? Would it be better to upgrade your fuel system? Ie. more AIR = more fuel, no? I don't know too much about nitrous

bnavarro...im not exactly sure either, but i know its definitely not the best thing for your engine....Fastvteccl has had his on for over a year and a half now and the only problems he's ran into were with his tranny....as far as the engine goes im not exactly sure....i know the larger the shot, say over 100, you need to adjust correctly and apparently that can be tricky...im happy w/ mine so far, only a month with it, but for $500 instead of $4500, that leaves me w/ at least $4000 in case something terrible happens...
